Deadly drum & bass remix from Modifier

Modifier is an artistic moniker creating fast, upbeat electronic d&b in today’s fast paced electronic world. The British producer’s real name is John Lavender, with a musical history spanning over 15 years. John is inspired by legendary techno and IDM acts Orbital, Plaid, Aphex Twin and Autechre, with current influences drawn from Modeselektor and Moderat, who pull together a wealth of new takes on the most influential sounds in electronic music past and present.

John has considered DJing but says he may opt to perform electronic music live instead. As he continues to evolve and move forward, John stays true to his beliefs and remains relevant without being contrived. Future output for Modifier is not limited to one particular style, and his ability to surprise and blow the eardrums of all who hear his work will be his deadliest weapon.

Modifier’s remix of Kiinde’s – “How Is It” is an adrenaline pumping drum and bass take, incorporating elements of the original, pushing the tempo dramatically and turning the energy way up into a rollercoaster-ride of a frenzy. Fusing sub heavy bass grooves with tough danceable breaks, his upbeat sound comes driving, knocking and bleeping, as snares go rolling upwards into crescendos and sinking down below the vivid soundscape. The constant movement makes it highly energetic, yet the piece maintains emphasis on the groove throughout.
